Twenty-five teachers attended the 2011 Teaching with Primary Sources summer workshop. Part of their work involved writing and implementing primary document-based lesson plans. From Salvador Dali to the Civil War to the Great Depression, you can find those and otherteacher-tested lesson plans here.
To assume leadership in Kansas by improving the teaching of Social Studies, promoting research of the Social Studies and promoting the professional growth of social studies teachers.
To cooperate with state and local education associations.
To promote the organization of, and cooperate with, local councils for the Social Studies.
To serve the interests of the National Council for the Social Studies in Kansas.
