About KCSS
Purpose:
- To assume leadership in Kansas by improving the teaching of Social Studies, promoting research of the Social Studies and promoting the professional growth of social studies teachers.
- To cooperate with state and local education associations.
- To promote the organization of, and cooperate with, local councils for the Social Studies.
- To serve the interests of the National Council for the Social Studies in Kansas.

The KCSS, Kansas Geographical Society, Kansas Historical Society, and the Kansas Department of Education are co-sposoring the KCSS Presents: 2012 History, Government, Geography and Social Conference. The conference is planned for September 30 and October 1 at the KSHS complex in Topeka. See you then!
